Mets Advance To NLCS With Nail-biting Win Over Dodgers!
#GoAmazin Honestly, I am a Yankees fan, but I still got love for the Mets! The NY Mets finished off the LA Dodgers 3-2 tonight in game 5 of the division series to advance to NLCS! Daniel Murphy deeking deserted third base on a defensive shift was perhaps the play of the game, as he scored on a sac-fly on a next play to tie the game at 2! Murphy followed up in the sixth inning smoking a solo shot to put the Mets ahead for good 3-2!

The NY Mets posted a quite impressive 13-7 win over the dastardly Dodgers, last night, in the postseason Playoff Citi-Field debut! Over 44 thousand were in attendance! The Mets were excited to play the first game at Citi-Field in the Playoffs, and had pride riding hard for their injured second baseman Ruben Tejada who was decisively taken out (leg broken) in game 2 by Chase Utley’s ‘tackle’ slide! Curtis Granderson and Yoenis Cespedes teed off on the Dodgers making it look like tee ball instead of Major League Baseball!
Chase Utley Suspended Two Games For Controversial Leg-Breaking ‘Tackle’ Slide! [Video]
MLB badly messed up the call during gametime, but is attempting to make up for it after the fact! Tonight MLB suspended LA Dodgers’ Chase Utley two games for the controversial ‘tackle’ slide that broke NY Mets’ Rubén Tejada right leg last night! During the controversial play, Utley sort of side-kicked (leg tackled) way out of the baseline at Mets’ second baseman Tejada legs to break up any chance at a double play. Messi & His Father Caught Up In Tax Fraud Case; Could Serve Jail Time?!
There is no silver lining to this story, and Spain is not allowing wealth to uphold impunity. Lionel Messi, one of the top paid athletes in the world, FC Barcelona forward, will stand trial with his father, Jorge, for intentionally not paying taxes from endorsement earnings (defrauding Spain) from 2007-2009 amounting to about $5 million dollars. The judge in the case rejected requests from prosecutors to drop the charges on the star soccer/futbal player and his father, and they will have to stand trial with no date set yet. Lawyers from the tax authority are lobbying for a 22-month sentence for both Lionel and his father. Lionel and his father are denying any knowledge of wrongdoing and intentional fraud.

Yankees Bid Fond Farewell To Yogi Berra! [Photo]
The NY Yankees paid tribute to Yogi Berra, who passed away on Sept. 22 at 90 years old, coincidentally exactly 69 years from his MLB debut.
