Ken Griffey Jr. ‘The Natural’ Claims Record HOF Vote!
#TheNatural #CooperstownBound Not Only did Ken Griffey Jr. make it into the HOF (Hall Of Fame) on his first bid, he received the most votes EVER (99.3%) eclipsing Mets’ legendary pitcher Tom Seaver (98.84%)! He received 437 of the 440 possible votes by the BWAA. Griffey’s swing was so natural, and field play so graceful, that when you thought of baseball your first picture was Griffey! He did it with his bat notching seven Silver Slugger awards, and on the ground receiving an amazing 10 consecutive Gold Gloves! Griffey also went to 11 consecutive All-Star… In a steroid latent era, he was considered holy
Yankees Trade Twins For Aaron Hicks!
The NY Yankees #upgraded their outfield by trading catcher John Ryan Murphy to the Minnesota Twins for center fielder Aaron Hicks earlier today. Hicks is a switch-hitter with a rifle of an arm in the outfield, even clocking 100mph catching players sneaking to home plate, and has some speed on the base path…Yankees’ trusty left fielder Brett Gardner may be the next to go; after a solid start and All-Star appearance, he went through a serious slump down the stretch last season.
Mets Advance To NLCS With Nail-biting Win Over Dodgers!
#GoAmazin Honestly, I am a Yankees fan, but I still got love for the Mets! The NY Mets finished off the LA Dodgers 3-2 tonight in game 5 of the division series to advance to NLCS! Daniel Murphy deeking deserted third base on a defensive shift was perhaps the play of the game, as he scored on a sac-fly on a next play to tie the game at 2! Murphy followed up in the sixth inning smoking a solo shot to put the Mets ahead for good 3-2!
Mets Win Citi-Field Playoff Debut Over Dastardly Dodgers; Utley Peers On!
The NY Mets posted a quite impressive 13-7 win over the dastardly Dodgers, last night, in the postseason Playoff Citi-Field debut! Over 44 thousand were in attendance! The Mets were excited to play the first game at Citi-Field in the Playoffs, and had pride riding hard for their injured second baseman Ruben Tejada who was decisively taken out (leg broken) in game 2 by Chase Utley’s ‘tackle’ slide! Curtis Granderson and Yoenis Cespedes teed off on the Dodgers making it look like tee ball instead of Major League Baseball!
Former MLB Star Rafael Palmeiro Joins His Son in Independent Texas League!
Some say age is defiant, some say Yahoo! Sports completely copied my style, but who is to say that 50-year old Rafael Palmeiro, a former Cubano MLB baseball star, is gonna play baseball again! Well, Palmeiro is set to join his 25-year old son, Patrick, in an independent Texas league for the three remaining games of the season… Rafael does not only get a chance to fulfill the “field of dreams” in real life, but can also re-hash his name, as he tested positive for steroids late in his career.
