He scored his 32,293rd point on a pair of free-throws with 5:24 remaining in the second quarter to put the Lakers ahead 38-32 on Sunday afternoon, and pass his greatness, MJ, who finished his career with 32,292 career points.

Unfortunately, *coincidence* (Derek) Jeter’s ceremonial hit occured at the same time as former Yankee Paul O’Neill plaque presentation, otherwise it would be obviously more tout. During the NY Yankee’s disappointing 4-2 loss to the Texas Rangers tonight, Yankees’ “da captain” SS Derek Jeter entered the record books yet again! Jeter got three hits to tie and later pass the legendary Carl Yastrzemski AKA ‘Yaz’ for seventh place on the All-Time Hits List!!!
