#RiseOfTheUnderdog The arch-rival Boston Red Sox were playing like it was the seventh game of the World Series, and the NY Yankees finally broke them; beating them 4-1 tonight, and clinching a playoff spot! C.C. Sabathia (pic above) started things off for the Yankees pitching five innings, and only giving up one run! Carlos Beltran (top pic) and up-and-coming rookies Greg Bird and Robert Refsnyder each hit solo shots to boost the Yankees into the postseason! All the critics were counting the Yankees out in the preseason, and they proved them wrong! The Yankees next step is beating either the LA Angels or the Houston Astros in the wild-card matchup!
